the story of the orchid and the bee
once there was a bee. a male bee. he was so much in love. one fine day, he asked his girlfriend to go for a date and they agreed. so on that very day, before he went to meet his love, he thought that he should go and get some cologne ;) so he flew off and dropped by at a flower, an orchid, just to 'spray' some cologne all over himself. unfortunately he fell into the flower, on the sticky bed inside the flower. all wet, he couldn't fly. he looked at his watch. damn he's late. he struggled to get out from the flower by walking up the stairs-like part, and once he is near to the exit, some pollen grains got stuck all over his body. but he couldn't care less, and at the end he managed to exit successfully.
once he was out, he felt uneasy and not comfortable with himself. he removed all the pollen grains off himself. thought he was in need of more cologne, he flew to another orchid. as silly as he was earlier, he fell into that orchid as well. with more determination, he managed to escape, this time, faster than before- just because he knew well how to exit this time. and he did. once he was out, he then flew again to other orchids and the story repeats itself again and again.
...and nobody knows whether that bee managed to meet his love at the end. or rather, nobody talks about it.
well, this is supposed to be a story to describe how the ecosystem actually works, and specifically how the flowers bloom and got spread around the world. this story was told to show that the bees are actually the agen pendebungaan, and that this is the flow of the ecosystem.

but.
when i think about it, it actually can mean that a person can keep on repeating the same mistakes over and over again- that's just the way nature works. we may need people to tell us that what we are doing is wrong, and then only we tend to change for the better. poor bee, nobody dares to tell him that he is silly, that he doesn't need more cologne to impress his love, and that the orchid only uses it to spread the pollen grains. oh poor bee.
